All lanterns are fitted at the foundry with British bayonet-contact bulb sockets. While we stock British light bulbs and can supply them on request, we normally convert the lanterns to receive standard American medium-base light bulbs by installing a UL-approved porcelain socket at a nominal charge. This conversion can also be done by an electrician or lamp store. When ordering, specify "convert to US socket" if desired.
